Phil is a Chartered Architect and Managing Director of Simons Design. He has been a member of the RIBA for over 25 years and prior to becoming MD he was a director of Simons Design for 15 years. Phil is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences and healthcare projects carried out by Simons Design.

Phil joined Simons Design in 1995 as a project architect and has worked on a range of retail fit out projects for many of the national retailers including Argos, Boots and Asda. Phil’s expertise is Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare where he has been working for over 20 years with GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Abbot Laboratories, Actavis and a number of small R&D Companies, and the Nottingham University Hospital Trust.

Daniel is a deeply knowledgeable experienced architect with a background predominantly in heritage, masterplanning, commercial and residential projects. He excels in devising innovative design solutions to tackle intricate site limitations and meet client specifications. His strong presentation and creative skills have led to a successful number of master planning and planning submissions for a variety of public and private sector clients. Other specialties includes delivering sustainable architectural design, utilising knowledge and practice of both passive and active sustainable building strategies.

Adrian is a highly motivated, diligent and resourceful Senior Architect. He has a diverse portfolio of work within the private and public sector. Adrian is proficient on a wide variety of design software packages including, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM management. He has excellent communication skills and likes to build trusting relationships with his clients. He is able to resolve concerns and obstruction through his strong problem-solving skills with a can-do-attitude.

Joe has been working in the construction industry as an Architectural Technologist for over 15 years and has been responsible for the delivery or as part of the delivery team on numerous projects ranging from residential and mixed-use developments, to pharmaceutical, commercial and retail projects for clients such as Odeon Cinemas, M&S, Mercedes, Flannels, Frasers, USC and GSK.

He is currently leading the adoption of BIM within the company, and he is also on course to becoming a Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT).

Hanka started in the Simons Design Retail Team, where she worked mainly on fit-out schemes for Boots, Domino’s Pizza, SK Group and Heavenly Desserts, taking the design from feasibility stage to completion on site. She has become experienced in multi-disciplinary resources within the team, helping deliver high quality, detailed designs enabling her to gain valuable experience across different architectural disciplines. For retail clients she has prepared full construction drawing packs, liaising with all parties, undertaking building surveys and attending site meetings.

Stephen is a logical, practical and hands-on individual who relishes the opportunity to take on challenging projects. He has comprehensive experience in the preparation of architectural designs from inception through to completion in domestic, public and commercial environments. Skilled in applying logic, considered detailing and functionality to projects with a proven ability to lead projects and teams through the process. He is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign as well as MS Office & 3D printing.

Jess is combining her studies with on the job experience in the Simons Design office. She is growing in confidence the more she learns and is working on larger projects using what she has learnt. Jess has excellent organisational skills and is hard working and conscientious. She has been working for Simons design since February 2019. She now has the ability to work on various software packages such as; Revit, CAD, and has had training and can steadily work on Enscape visualisation tools.

Mandy is the Practice Manager for Simons Design and brings a friendly, calm manner to everything she deals with. She is the first port of call for new enquiries and runs the office to ensure that the team can work on projects leaving all admin and Marketing duties efficiently with her.
